Graduate Student

Research Advisor: Prof. Tsu-Jae King Liu

BETR Research Thrust: Millivolt Switches

Bio

Tsegereda is a Ph.D. candidate in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Department at UC Berkeley working under the supervision of Prof. Tsu-Jae King Liu. Before coming to Berkeley, she received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and minor in Math from Jackson State University in 2017.

Research

Tsegereda’s Ph.D. research focuses on ultra-low-power electronics and novel non-volatile memory devices. Specifically, she is working on characterizing energy-efficient Micro-electro-mechanical (MEM) relays and exploring the material properties of the devices for the application of efficient embedded non-volatile storage devices. She is also researching the stochastic behavior of Resistive Random-Access Memory (ReRAM) devices for the application of Physically unclonable functions (PUFs).
