Yuxuan Cosmi Lin

Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Advisor: Prof. Jeffrey Bokor

BETR Research Thrust: Millivolt Switches

Bio

Dr. Yuxuan Cosmi Lin received his Bachelor’s degree in microelectronics from Tsinghua University, China, in 2012. He then completed his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees, both in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in 2014 and 2019, respectively.  He is now a postdoctoral scholar in the EECS department at University of California, Berkeley, supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Bokor. His research interest is emerging nanomaterials and their device applications.

Research

Dr. Lin’s research activities focus on three areas: (1) new synthesis and characterization tools for nanoscience and nanomaterial research; (2) emerging multi-physics phenomena at the nanoscale and their electronic, optoelectronic, and nano-electro-mechanical system (NEMS) applications; (3) integrated multifunctional nanosystems. His most recent research project is ultimately scaled field effect transistors based on 1D and 2D materials for future beyond Moore device applications.
