Reposted from the College of Engineering, University of California
On April 3, 2018, Xiang Zhang, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and holder of the Ernest S. Kuh Endowed Chair in Engineering, delivered the 2018 Ernest S. Kuh Distinguished Lecture, Creating Materials that Do Not Exist in Nature: Negative Refraction, Superlens and Invisibility Cloak.
The Ernest S. Kuh Distinguished Lecture series has been made possible by a generous gift from Professor Emeritus Ernest Kuh and his wife, Bettine. Professor Kuh was dean of the College of Engineering from 1973–1980, and he was instrumental in securing the college’s reputation as a leader in engineering education.
