Hyungjin Kim

Bio
Hyungjin Kim received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea in 2014 and 2016, respectively. In 2021, he received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley under supervision of Prof. Ali Javey. After graduation, he continues to work in Prof. Javey’s lab as a postdoctoral scholar.
Research
With the innovation of technologies that will impact our daily life such as the internet of things (IoT), wearable health care systems, digitally extended reality, and autonomous vehicles, the development of next-generation optoelectronic devices that possess advanced functionality and high performance has emerged as a substantial component for the evolution of future technology. Hyungjin Kim is currently focusing on developing emerging semiconductor materials and their integrated systems, especially for these next-generation optoelectronic applications.
